Location: Southwest Area Park
Observation date: 2/9/09
Number of species: 29

Two Rusty Blackbirds were in the trees between the lane leading to the playground and powerlines. The adult male and adult female sat quietly while surrounded by a noisy murder of crow. They were gone when I passed by fifteen minutes later. Last year on March 10, I had 24 Rusty Blackbirds in the wet wooded area near the playground.

The American Tree and White-crowned Sparrow were found near the boat ramp. The Gray Catbird (surprise!) was in the wet wooded area near the playground.
