Hey everyone-

I checked out Druid Ridge this morning, with no Crossbills present from 9:20-10:00. However, when I came home, I heard a Pine Siskin in one of the spruces just up the road from my house, and decided to check if there was anything else of interest. I soon got my bins on a group of 6 White-Winged Crossbills, with 5 females and 1 male. I studied them for about an hour, and when they flushed, I realized that there were many more. There must have been between 35-45 Crossbills that flew out of the spruces. After having checked these exact trees more than 10 or 15 times this winter in hopes that Crossbills would show up, this was an awesome day, and a heck of a backyard bird. I'll post a photo or two later.

Also, Kevin Graff and Sean McCandless called me to say that they had 13 WW Crossbills at Brantwodd Golf Course in Cecil county this morning near par 18. From Williams rd., walk down the path to a brick house, then turn left towards par 18 and spruce trees.

Good Birding,
