Hi Everyone,
I spotted a bird this afternoon while at work. The bird had landed near a top of a tree, and I quickly realize it had some greenish yellow color on its body. My first thought was WW Crossbill, but when the bird flew, there were no wingbars. I refound it and it stumped me for a bit, as it had the look of a female Purple Finch, but it had no eye stripe, and the body had a small amount of light yellow - green on the sides. The viewing conditions was not good with the strong winds, as the bird was swaying violently back in forth on a small branch.
Location was on River Road, about a quarter mile west of Montevideo road. I'll probably go for another look tomorrow. There are some evergreens in the area.
