Motivated by a very enthusiastic 12 year old owl lover, and a 14 year
old escaping homework hell, we went Owl Hunting today in Oxford.
Surprisingly few birders in Oxford on such a beautiful day! Met
another couple on the same mission. While watching a mature Bald
Eagle dine on a deer carcass with vultures just outside of town, this
couple told us The Owl was perched on a house at Batchelor's Point.
The home owner was delighted to know he had such a regal visitor
hanging out by his chimney, who obliged us for an hour, changing his
pose so we could admire its beautiful plumage from all angles!
