Thayer's Gull picture, Jug Bay Lesser Black-backed Gulls

Hi All,

I just wanted to send along the link to the picture that Bill had
mentioned of the Thayer's Gull at Salisbury Landfill, the change in
appearance that this bird has gone through in the past couple of
months is striking to say the least!  The picture can be viewed at:

Also, I spent an hour or so yesterday evening at Jug Bay Natural Area
in PG County looking through the gulls, the best being 5 LESSER
BLACK-BACKED GULLS (1 second cycle, 4 first cycle) and an interesting
first cycle bird that I first saw at the Depot Pond a couple of weeks
ago, Jim Stasz and I were able to watch it for a bit, one explanation
for the creatures look that we came up with at that time was Lesser
Black-backed x Herring hybrid.  Photos of this bird can be seen at:
