We had a nice midmorning outing to the Hughes Hollow area of McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area today. Some folks were doing dog training in the first impoundment on the right and hunters were active back in the woods (squirrels, crows, and non-migratory Canada Goose still in season). It was fairly quiet, but we did see two Rusty Blackbirds in the dead trees in the second impoundment near where the levee enters the trees at the concrete culvert at the South end of the impoundment. Otherwise the usual suspects, about 25 species.
