Chris Murray, Declan Haas and I hit TPSP and the scenic drive along
the Bay in the community of Bay Ridge this afternoon.

Of note:
-A conservative est. of 2,300 CANVASBACK (and growing) on the South
side of TPSP. 2 REDHEAD were mixed in with the flock that stretched
for about a mile at the mouth of the South River.

-Some Surf Scoter, Long-tailed Ducks, Buffle, Greater & Lesser Scaup
and Common Goldeneye.

-A BONAPARTE'S GULL (with vibrant red legs, not pink) spinning and
foraging at the Northeastern most point of Bay Ridge.

-A Bald Eagle perched high in a tree at the same spot.

-Several American Wigeon were nice at Bay Ridge as well.

-Another est. 350 Canvasback in Lake Ogleton, the lake on the inside
portion of the Bay Ridge community.

Good Birding,
