I had about the same mixture at my feeder in Owings md about noon, but
I had about 250 rusty blackbirds (robin sized) instead of grackles.
and instead of a fox sparrow, I had my first purple finch (clear pink breasted, no stripes)
Some female red winged blackbirds got me interested, but when I noted that the male had a yellow shoulder patch,
I knew they were red wing females, just part of the blackbird army that came by.
we had about 8-9 inches of snow Sunday
