after being excited by rusty black birds, that I too hastily posted 

in consideration, they were probably bronzed Grackles after all

I had about the same mixture at my feeder in Owings md about noon, but 

I had about 250 rusty blackbirds (robin sized) instead of grackles. 

and instead of a fox sparrow, I had my first purple finch (clear pink breasted, no stripes) 



Some female red winged blackbirds got me interested, but when I noted that the male had a yellow shoulder patch, 

I knew they were red wing females, just part of the blackbird army that came by. 



we had about 8-9 inches of snow Sunday

morning during the snowstorm.   

Common Grackle about 50 
Red-winged Blackbird 19 (15 males, 4 females) 
Brown-headed Cowbird  3 (2 males, 1 female) 
Northern Cardinal     5 (3 males, 2 females) 
White-throated Sparrow 11 
Song Sparrow  1 
Fox Sparrow   1 
Dark-eyed Junco 12 
House Finch  4 (2 males, 2 females) 
Pine Siskin  7 
American Goldfinch  11 
House Sparrow  2 (1 male, 1 female)
