Hi all,
11:20-3:30
Did a little birding on the C&O canal, Violette's Lock, and Seneca. Best bird was a RED-NECKED GREBE that was
close to shore on the Potomac, about 80 yards past mile marker 23. The grebe was actually swimming downriver,so it might be
closer to Reilly's Lock. The neck pattern is just starting to show on this bird. Earlier, I checked out the Trumpeter Swans in company with the
Tundra Swans on the river. The Redheads and Scaup are still rafting in the same place. Two White winged Scoters were near the VA side.
