My f-o-y Osprey flew over Rte 4 on the 5th.

Today I went out searching for the Barrow's but no luck.  I did find a nice flock of brown-headed nuthatches on Lloyd Bowen Road.   At least two pine warblers were singing.

No WWXbills on Wrighton road....

This evening I stopped by the American Chestnut Land trust (off Scientists' cliffs road) and had a real show from a number of woodcock.  They were visible and audible from the parking lot.  I walked up the path a way, and one of the woodcocks flew past my face.  Many loud peents and much twittering.   This was at 6:20 pm.

ps I concur with Patty that one of the best places in Calvert to find horned larks is Turner Road.  (Soller's wharf is also worth a try while you're in the area.)
