Bob Ringler, Jeff Culler, and I spent a couple of hours this afternoon at Piney Run Park in Carroll County. We had two Red-necked Grebes at the dam end, which is to the far right of the boat ramp.
After today's trip I would nominate Bob to play the Count on Sesame Street. A flock of Tundra Swans flew overhead and disappeared behind some trees. Bob said he got a count of 77 swans. Jeff had taken a picture of the flying V formation and later when we counted the swans in the picture, there were 77. Amazing.
