Dear All

We relocated the Snowy Owl this morning based on seeing a bunch of crows mobbing something on a building in sight from the Audubon office at Connecticut and M St, and then the bird got resighted from the office location of yesterday. I managed to get to see it from the roof of the Mayflower Hotel but there was no way they could let visitors up there, but the very helpful folk in the office of a law firm, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, were keen and the views of the bird from their office were excellent.

However, a particularly determined crow managed to drive the bird off its perch and it flew off crossing Rhode Island and last seen flying north west parallel to Connecticut Ave in the direction of Dupont. I lost it amongst the buildings but I had the feeling that it wasn't going far. If anyone was keen to search the area between 17th and 18th in the blocks from Rhode Is northwards then it might be worth looking, especially for the crows mobbing it which are a dead give away.

Cheers

Gary
