Hi all,

BBC
New meeting
place for Spring Migration Walks,
 Lake
 Roland (Robert E. Lee Park)

Tuesdays from April 7 to May 26, 2009 at 8:30
AM

Meet at the North Entrance of
Robert E. Lee Park (
 Lake
 Roland )

It is no longer possible to cross the footbridge below
the dam at Lake
 Roland . So BBC's Spring '09
Migration Walks will meet at the North Entrance of Robert E. Lee Park on
Falls Rd.  Footing can be slippery,
so wear appropriate shoes. Our leader on April 7 is Mary Chetelat,
410-665-0769.

To North Entrance of Robert E. Lee Park from Falls Rd. &
 Lake
Ave. (former start
point)
Instead of turning off Falls Rd. just north of Lake Avenue, our
usual meeting place, go 1.7 miles further north on Falls Rd. Pass a single
house (yellow and green) on your right. See yellow and black chevron signs
marking a curve in the road. Just after these signs, pull right and park along
the side of the road.  You have
gone TOO FAR if you pass the Fire Station, the highway overpass or the
light at Ruxton - Old Court & Falls Rd.

To North Entrance of Robert E. Lee Park from the
 Baltimore Beltway
I-695.
From
 Baltimore Beltway (I-695), take Exit 23A (I-83)
South, then follow signs to Falls Road (I-25) south.  This will take you to a light.  Turn left at light (Falls Road) and
proceed 2 miles.  Go through one
traffic light, where Falls Rd. meets RUXTON & OLD COURT RDS, go beneath the
highway overpass, and then see yellow and black chevron signs marking a curve in
the road.  The entrance to the park
is on your left, just after the chevron signs.  Park along the left side of the
road.
