We saw two White-winged Scoters late this morning,  about 1/3 of the way from Violette's Lock to Riley's Lock, very close to the Virginia shore.  Thanks to Lizzie and her friend for telling us where they were.  

The cold temperatures were a shock after a week along lower Rio Grande.
