Yesterday (Saturday 3/22/09) my niece Jessica Sweeney and I stopped by
Triadelphia and found 5 Red-necked Grebes and a Red-breasted Merganser,
all viewed from the dam.  

Later that night, at about 9:30, while I was in the hot-tub at my
sister's house near Glenelg High School, we heard at least 2 Long-tailed
Ducks calling as they flew over.  About 10 minutes later we heard
another group, unless the first group was circling around.  

I'm very weak at identifying flyover chip notes, but the calling
Long-tailed Ducks were very clear and distinctive and got everyone's
attention.  Very cool!
