Agree-- I would not count the bird until I saw it even though I heard what sounded like one because of the time of year. My earliest record at Soldier's is early May. Unless it is seen, I mention it only as food for thought. Birders should recognize the limitations of identification solely by ear, particularly with mimics out there. The burden of proof for such a sighting is much higher. Thanks for pointing that out.

Unless you SEE the acadian these records are questionable and highly
unlikely. At McKee-Beshers WMA in Montgomery Co acadians don't arrive until
late April.
This is the time of year people start reporting calling wood pewees
and all they are hearing is STARLINGS giving a good imitation.
