Hi all --
Barry and I had the Harris's Sparrow in Columbia at about 2:30 PM today --
under the feeders behind the building at 6760 Alexander Bell Drive. A Fox
Sparrow, many Song, White-throated Sparrows, and Juncos were also present.
We arrived a little after 2 and had to wait about 20-25 minutes for the bird
to appear. It stayed for about 5 minutes, feeding both under the feeder and
on the grass lawn, then flew into the woods edge where we heard it sing a
couple of times.
We stood at the corner of the building where there is an exit door and
(inside) a kitchen so as not be be outside of someone's office -- there were
a couple of other birders coming and going but no crowds.
