While I haven't called WA Post to check, I'm 95% sure that the picture they
ran was of the actual Snowy Owl at 17th and L, NW. The view (head on),
surroundings, and bird look just like what I personally saw.

In other news, in Silver Spring near Sligo Creek Pkwy this morning Pine
Siskins were singing their song, which I've only heard a couple times all
winter despite their constant presence. They're feeling spring-y, I guess.
