I went for a walk around Sewells Orchard pond just after the sun came out today. It was like Mother Nature flipped the spring switch! Birds singing everywhere. I heard 2 EASTERN PHOEBES and a few EASTERN TOWHEES. Geese are paring up and beginning to hiss at me as I walk past. Male MALLARDS are jousting for dominance.

Cabbage White's have emerged and are beginning their flight dances.

And the sky high above was filled with raptors and scavengers, happy to finally have a clear view! The group included 2 RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS, a RED-TAILED HAWK, an OSPREY, a COOPER'S HAWK, and 12 TURKEY VULTURES.
