This weekend was exceptionally busy with the family, but I managed to get some birding accomplished at home in the yard this morning for about 1.5-2 hours from 9:30 to about 11:15 or so. I was mostly scanning the sky to the east and south, watching for migrants while I did some stuff in the yard with the kids, and while doing some chores.

All observation noted below except the gulls were seen flying north.

Raptor species (only counting what I thought were migrants) AMKE 1, RTHA 7, RSHA 3, NOHA 1, BAEA 4, OSPR 10+ (believed to be migrants; at least 20 local breeders are present), SSHA 2, COHA 1

Gull species (all on river or flying past) RBGU 10+, HEGU 5, LAGU 30+, BOGU 9, GBBG 2; NOTE on Friday there were about 200 Laughing gulls here in the late afternoon, lots of calling.

Common Loon 4 (FOY)
Glossy Ibis 5 (a small flock - nice surprise!; FOY)
DC Cormorant 7 (small migrant flock; very high!)
TUVU 50+ (nice flight today), BLVU 11
Greater Yellowlegs 1
Solitary Sandpiper 2 (FOY)
Barn Swallow 2 (FOY)
Tree Swallow 30+

Cheers!
