Although the Harris's Sparrow is still present in Howard County,  Ken Clark's e-mail yesterday contained mention of another unusual
species. 
 
If you observed  the Sandhill Cranes, would you please contact me offline.  We have just five previous county records;  names of
observers and details of the observation would be valuable.

Still here this morning, but the bigger excitement was seeing a small flock of Sandhill Cranes fly over high heading north. I
assumed that they were swans, but other birders watching for Harris's identified the cranes by sound.
