Today was one of the mornings that I just stationed myself at a good vantage point along the boardwalk and watched for early morning flyovers.  Highlights included a group of 7 Glossy Ibis, 2 Double-crested Cormorants, a small group of Canada Geese, 2 Great Blue Herons, 85 Laughing Gulls, 47 Herring Gulls, 21 Ring-billed Gulls, and 1 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull.  Also of note were 2 calling Blue-gray Gnatcatchers along the edge of the pond, several Osprey, a Great Egret, several swirling Tree Swallows, and a close Swamp Sparrow.
