Notes: Jay Sheppard, Dave Brenneman, and I watched the American Bittern for almost 2 hours as it made its way left along the eastern side of the peninsula jutting out into Oxbow Lake. While there, the number of Caspian Terns increased from 8 to 11. Dave got some excellent pictures of the bittern. From the Brock Bridge Road entry into the reserve, Dave heard at least 4 Wild Turkeys earlier in the morning.
