Hello all.
Had a very productive trip to Swan Creek/Cox Creek Dredge Containment Facility today. I had FOY Glossy Ibis and Marsh Wren along with a total of 9 Little Blue Heron. Also a group of 13 Blue-winged Teal on the mitigated wetland. BWTE are obviously not easy to find in AACO, and are even less common in north county. A very good trip.

Pied-billed Grebe: 1
Great Blue Heron: 2 A low number for this site
Great Egret: 1
Snowy Egret: 1 flyover
LITTLE BLUE HERON: 9 Eight adult, one first year
GLOSSY IBIS: 3 Mitigated wetland
Black Vulture: 1
Turkey Vulture: 15
Red-tailed Hawk: 1 local bird
Osprey: 3 One was nest-building
American Kestrel: 1
Killdeer: 1
Herring Gull: 80+ of mixed ages
Great Black-backed Gull: c. 20 Mostly adults
Caspian Tern: 2 North dredge cell
Hairy Woodpecker: 2
Eastern Phoebe: 1
Tree Swallow: c. 40
N. Rough-winged Swallow: 2
MARSH WREN: 1 Called a few times and was seen twice
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 1
Brown Thrasher: 1
Palm Warbler: 2 Yellow
Eastern Towhee: 3
Swamp Sparrow: 1
White-throated Sparrow: 28
American Goldfinch: 6

S. Leopard Frog: c. 10 Seepage area off of woodland trail
