Hi Everyone,

This day was interesting to say the least. !!!! It started off with disappointment as I was suppose to go to Oxbow Lake and look for the American Bittern , with Eileen Wise but that got rained out . Around 2:00 i went out to eat and do some shopping .Afterward I stopped by Southwest Area Park in Southwest Baltimore for a quick check . I stopped on the gravel road to check the marsh area and wasnt disappointed. Firstly the fox came out and i took a couple pictures. Then something very large was flying very low at the end of the road which i first got excited thinking Northern Goshawk but ended up being a Gray Ghost .After 15 minutes of watching her scan the marsh and trying to take photos out the passenger window something else flew in at the end of the road . It was flying with a straight long neck and appeared brown in color . It flew over the large pond and then came and landed in the small pond about 50 feet from the road . Got to get acouple photos which was another story and then some people walked by and scared it off. It headed south towards Belle Grove road . I lost it by the power towers so it may not have gone too far. This was also a new Lifebird for me. birds seen
