A lone Siskin braved the grackles crowding the sunflower and suet feeders to imbibe from the thistle sock feeder - first i had seen in more than a week.

My hummer feeder went up yesterday - procrastination will get you every time - so far no takers, although i think i was buzzed by a hummer FRI evening before the feeder went up.

On THURS eve in a field bisected by St Marks Rd near the intersection with Broad Run Rd (MD 383) were a pair of Horned Larks with what really did appear to be horns present on one. This is only my second sighting of Larks this season.

Happy Easter everyone!
