Hi Everyone,
Mom and i picked up dinner and headed to SWAP this evening for a sit and watch . We made a stop at Bellegrove road pond to check for American Bittern first . It wasnt there. We got to SWAP around 6:00 and sat on the gravel road at the pond area . It was slow at first but things picked up about 645 . The Americam Bittern flew over the marsh around 7 . It came in from the North again and headed South towards the Bellegrove road pond. The area from here to there is pretty marshy and unaccessable . Many places for the bird to hide. I wanted to do another run over to Bellegrove before dark set in and as i was doing a quick ride down the rest of SWAP mom spots the Ringednecked Pheasant and his mate in the tall grass on the left side of the road. Another crazy photo moment. Photography is dangerous to your health . Sitting in the car and trying to take a picture of something back wards. Anyhow Mr. Pheasant lurked in the grass as if we couldnt see him and when
he got to the road he did some quicksteps across . Mrs. Pheasant was very well hidden in the grass and she finally crossed the road also.
Will post Pheasant picture later
