I saw a couple of new spring arrivals during my lunchtime walk around Schoolhouse Pond. Among the growing number of Barn Swallows flying over the pond were also 2 Northern Rough-winged Swallows, 3 Chimney Swifts, and a few Tree Swallows. Also present was 1 Caspian Tern, a male Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, a pair of Wood Duck, 3 Double-crested Cormorants, 2 Osprey, and large numbers of Yellow-rumped Warblers.

The highlight of yesterday's (4/13) lunchtime walk around the pond was a Palm Warbler.
