Hi everyone,

I went birding during my lunch break here at Patuxent with colleagues David Ziolkowski and Keith Pardieck. We first checked out Knowles Marsh #1 and had LOTS of circling Tree Swallows and 2 Am. Coots. But, the highlight was a fishing Caspian Tern! It was really cool watching it plunge dive into the lake! Then, we went down to the Pax River at Duvall Bridge. Walked a little along the bridge and further into AA Co. and had:
EAPH 4 of them
TUTI singing
CARW singing
CACH
RCKI calling
NOPA singing away and had great close looks at him. FOY for me!

Other natural history stuff we had were:
Beautiful flowering Spring Beauties, Virginia Bluebells and Yellow Corydalis. Saw 2 Cricket Frogs, a FOY Zebra Swallowtail and a Tufted Titmouse eating a wooly bear caterpillar!
