Hey everyone,

During my walk this morning at White Marsh Park in Bowie, I had three new year birds, including singing Ovenbirds, Parulas, and a single YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO. The cuckoo was singing about 40 feet up a Tulip Poplar which stands over the creek. This is my earliest record ever for a Cuckoo - quite a nice surprise on this gorgeous morning. There were also many Hermit Thrushes and Ruby-crowned Kinglets on the move.
