I birded the Swamp Trail at the American Chestnut Land Trust in Calvert County Saturday morning. Highlights were:

Blue-headed Vireo
Ovenbirds
Red-headed Woodpecker in the swamp
Point Lookout in the afternoon:
Brown Pelicans
Many brightly plumaged SAVANNAH sparrows
In the woods:
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER
LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH (walking on a log in a swamped area of the woods)
Blue-headed vireo
White-eyed vireo
WORM-EATING WARBLER - only 20 feet away
