Mid-eastern Shore, 4/19

The mid-eastern shore wasn't nearly as hopping as the lower shore.  With more ducks than warblers and cold afternoon winds, it seemed more like March than April.  Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable day of birding, including my first Pectoral Sandpipers, Least Terns, and Common Yellowthroats of the year; Virginia Rails (but no Soras) in two counties; and 10 -- count 'em 10 -- Gadwall in Caroline County.  Highlights below.
