out light from the W and ended brisk from the E, 13-15 mph
Raptor Observations:
A Osprey plunged into the pond and came up with two fish at once. It flew
off north, leaving us wondering how it was going to land to eat its catch.
Non-raptor Observations:
55 Common Loons, 145 American Goldfinches

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
