How strange. At least two, possibly three, groups of birders went to
Eagle's Nest Campground on Saturday and had no problems getting in.
Checking in at the Welcome Center was all that was required, and the
employees were very friendly. We stopped back into the Welcome Center on
the way out and thanked them for allowing us to see the birds and told
them how much fun we had.

Having read the recent posts about this site, we had no doubts that if we simply checked in first at the Welcome Center then we would be allowed to bird the area. Sadly this wasn't the case. The woman at the front desk said she had given access to someone about a week ago and was later told not to do that.
