In addition to Yellow Rails at Rumbley Pt., the last few days have brought 
a nice assortment of neotropical migrants to my yard, which abuts the park.  
 A real surprise was a Whip-poor-will Friday evening and again Sunday 
evening.   Friday it was practically on my deck.   It has to be thirty years 
since we had one here.   The last goatsucker in these woods was a Chuck behind 
Paul Pisano's house when he still lived here.   That's how he acquired the 
keen hearing that enabled him to pick out the Yellow Rail last night.   (I 
know, it makes no sense, just ignore my ramblings).   This morning I couldn't 
pull myself away from the bird activity to check other areas, so these are 
all yard birds:

Great Crested Flycatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
Wood Thrush
Gray Catbird
Blue-winged Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Palm Warbler
American Redstart
Louisiana Waterthrush
Scarlet Tanager
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (a pair spent the day at my feeder)
Orchard Oriole
Baltimore Oriole
Pine Siskins (daily since early December)
Purple Finches (daily since early April)

I also heard a single song that may have been a Wilson's Warbler.   If all 
goes well maybe it will be here tomorrow.
