This afternoon my wife Colleen and I went for a stroll along the C&O Canal
at Spring Gap. Amazingly in the 90 degree heat there were quite a few
migrants to be found and singing to boot! Highlights included NASHVILLE
WARBLER, foy GREAT-CRESTED FLYCATCHER, foy RED-EYED VIREO, foy
BLACK-AND-WHITE-WARBLER, and a number of YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER and
YELLOW-THROATED VIREO. With 6 species of warbler between 1:00 and 3:00PM, I
can only wonder what the place was like early this morning. Complete list
