The warm SW winds and low cloud cover seems to push many migrants heading
north to a lower altitude. In about two hours (8-10AM) I counted many
flocks of Eastern Kingbirds, waxwings, grosbeaks, tanagers, orioles and
other blackbirds and I don't believe I exaggerate when estimating over a
thousand birds flying over. Best bird of the morning was a migrant Eastern
Meadowlark.
