I made my 2nd visit this morning to Milford Mill Park, and it was every bit as great as my first a couple of days ago. I wish I could remember the name of the nice woman with an English accent whom I saw at Cromwell who told me how to get to MMP--I'd thank her.

Much activity throughout but especially near the parking lot. The Canada was very cooperative (they often tend to be on the go, like a Wilson's, in my experience)--a beautiful male in trees near the river near the lot. And several Northern Waterthrush were around--2 responded to pishing, affording great views (normally my pishing doesn't accomplish a lot). There were numbers of Worm-Eating--most of the time near the ground singing, but one was singing/feeding quite high up, but of course most of the so-called ground warblers will go high at times, often to sing. Quite a few Veerys. A Scarlet T. Just lots of robust activity for most of the loop. Some songs (parts, pieces, variations) I couldn't quite pin down--some birds way way up in the tallest trees--hard to tell sometimes. Surely, as much as I could nail down, I'm sure I missed a lot.

By the time I got to Patapsco (Granite), it was near noon--very soon the rain chased me out. But I was able to get some warblers, including a couple of Louisianas. A Yellow-Throated Vireo, many Cedar Waxwings in the cemetary, a pair of Wood Ducks in the river.

Warblers at MMP:

NASHVILLE (2)
Parula (#s)
Yellow (1)
Black-Throated Blue (#s)
Yellow-Rumped (#s)
Black-Throated Green (#s)
PRAIRIE (at least 3)
Black-and-White (several)
Redstart (half dozen at least)
WORM-EATING (4+)
Ovenbird (scattered throughout)
Nothern Waterthrush (5 easy)
C Yellowthroat (3)
CANADA (1)

All good birding,
