Location: Oxbow Lake
Observation date: 5/1/09
Notes: Visited today during the on-again-off-again light rain of the
afternoon. Most of the woodland birds were concentrated in the southern part of
the preserve. From the main entrance, take the trail to the left and continue
along the lake to the southern cove. Then continue on the trail as it enters the
woods, take the first trail to the right - this is the place. I climbed up a
small hill to get an eye-to-eye view of the SCARLET TANAGER. The SUMMER TANAGER
was located at the intersection of the two trails.
