A good walk to work across Patterson Park this morning at 8:30am.
2 Solitary Sandpipers circles and flew north (not calling but showing dark underwings and clear shape profile). Then an American Bittern flew over, going north. At the pond the Sedge wren is still there singing; also a Northern Waterthrush, 2 Baltimore Orioles, 3 Yellow Warblers. Finally, to the SW of the pond up the slope near the playground, was a flock of 10 male Bobolinks all singing like crazy in a tree.

This cloudy weather is good for bringing birds down into suboptimal habitats like the park. Who needs sunshine!
