Hi Everyone,

Scott Housten and I had a fun walk at Pemberton Park this morning. New birds for this year's Pemberton walks included YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, ACADIAN FLYCATCHER, SCARLET TANAGER, and ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK. Our full list is below.

Have fun,

Location: Pemberton Park
Observation date: 5/6/09
Observers: Ron Gutberlet, Scott Housten.
Weather (from accuweather.com for Salisbury, MD): 56-60 F, light fog to cloudy, wind calm (1 mph) to NW at 4 mph, relative humidity 96-89%, barometric pressure 30.08-30.11 in, no precipitation, visibility 1-3 miles.
Conditions: tide was low; marsh vegetation has grown considerably since last week, such that any exposed mud in the large marsh is not visible and for the most part shorebirds can only be detected by voice or in flight; trees appear fully leafed out or at least nearly so, and most ferns have uncurled and opened.
