Gail - and others interested in Siskins
My siskin numbers have been growing the past few days. A small
group has been feasting on the thistle seed daily over here near Tunis Mills
ever since early January. As of this morning the number was suddenly up to
14. Last year most of my group left the night of May 15. Then one showed
up about l0 days later - stayed for a couple of days - and then left. None
seen after that.
Right now the males are sporting some quite bright plumage.

Hi --

I was wondering how many folks still have siskins coming to their feeders?
We have a group of 4-6 every day, each day we expect them to have left and
then -- there they are, gobbling down the niger seed.

Guess they know a soft touch when they find one!
