I live in the Russett Community and my house is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump to Oxbow Lake is. Earlier this morning, I had a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON flyover while I was out birding on my deck. Also had 3 SCARLET TANAGERS and 1 YELLOW WARBLER this morning.

Location: Home Londonleaf Ln
Observation date: 5/8/09
Notes: New today BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON. I went back out on my deck to
find the Great-crested Flycatcher that had moved directly behind my house. While
looking for it, I looked up to see a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON flying NE-SW over
my house.
