Hi --

Thought we would go out to Blue Mash Nature Trail today and see if the
Black-billed Cuckoos were still around -- not much in the way of migrants
and no cuckoos but a nice morning out nevertheless. The ponds were full to
the brim so no shorebirds. We didn't do the whole loop, so probably missed a
lot. Oh yes, we also had a Rick Sussman sighting!

Birds of interest:

Killdeer (heard only)
WILLOW FYCATCHER (1-2, heard only, FOY)
Eastern Kingbird (2)
Red-eyed Vireo (1-2)
White-eyed Vireo (2)
Prairie Warbler (1)
Yellow Warbler (abundant, local breeder)
Blackpoll Warbler (1)
No. Parula (1)
Myrtle Warbler (1-2, could they be leaving?)
Black-throated Green (1)
WORMEATING WARBLER (1)
Common Yellowthroat (abundant, local breeder)
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT (1, FOY)
Indigo Bunting (1)
Cedar Waxwing (30+)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (2)
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW (2, superb looks at one)
Field Sparrow (abundant, local breeder)
Orchard Oriole (4)
Baltimore Oriole (2)

Also, the Great Catbird Fallout has apparently moved on to Blue Mash -- they
were EVERYWHERE!

We came home to 4 Siskins at the feeder -- still hanging on!
