Hi Everyone,

Jim Brighton and I spent Saturday (9 May 2009) in Montgomery (briefly), Baltimore, and Howard Counties. While we did not relocate Dave Powell's Olive-sided Flycatcher on Riffle Ford Rd (Montgomery) first thing in the morning, we did finally see the adult WHITE IBIS at Sparrow's Point on our fourth attempt. It went like this: Thursday evening at 6:40 pm--no, Saturday 9 am--no, Saturday 10:45 am--no, Saturday 12:55 pm--YES!!

Throughout the day we visited various other locations in Baltimore and Howard Counties. As others have reported, we noted a general lack of migrants. A few quick highlights (it's already light out; I need to get outside!):

Common Moorhen--continues at Centennial Park
Warbling Vireo--1 at Patterson Park
Bay-Breasted Warbler--1 at North Point St Pk
Canada Warbler--1 at Middle Patuxent Env Area

Have fun,
