Hi Everyone,
This morning (12 May 2009) right after a nightjar survey for the Delaware Breeding Bird Atlas, Mike Walsh and I heard a SWAINSON'S THRUSH singing repeatedly from the Wicomico side of Sheppards Crossing of the Pocomoke River (just south of the DE line). A little later (at ca. 7:00 am) we heard and then saw a singing BLACKPOLL WARBLER on nearby Nelson Rd in Worcester County. Both of these locations are within the Great Cypress Swamp IBA (http://iba.audubon.org/iba/viewSiteProfile.do?siteId=3283&navSite=state)--"one of the largest contiguous areas of forest on the Delmarva Peninsula."
Have fun,
