It was a slow morning within the Potomac River watershed in DC. Highlights
included a LEAST BITTERN and a singing YELLOW-THROATED VIREO along Rock
Creek (near Pierce Mill). A LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH was heard singing along
the Piney Branch Parkway. A fledgling BARRED OWL was sighted approximately
100m north of mile-marker #8 along the C&O Canal and a female BALTIMORE
ORIOLE was observed collecting nesting material near the Fletcher's
Boathouse.
