While working yesterday (5/11) on Chino Farms I had approxiamtely 45 Bobolinks flyover and another 35 feeding in a nearby field of alfalfa. By far the majority were males and there was a lot of singing. There has been a few small groups flying over daily for about a week, but nothing of this size. There was also a singing Willow Flycatcher along the river and one Northern Harrier hunting over the grasslands. The Harrier seemed kind of late, but I'm not really sure. There was also a flyover singing Common Loon in the morning, which Maren Gimpel and Jime Gruber also heard on another part of the farm about 1/2 mile away.
