Hello all.

I found a total of 81 species today at Swan Creek/Cox Creek Dredge Facility this morning. A total shocker was a COMMON RAVEN which flew east over the old wetland at 7:45am. Great views of the head and tail as it was being checked out by a territorial Osprey. The bird's size was nicely apparant against the Osprey as well as an American Crow that also flew past. Very interesting sighting, since there are only a handful of records from AACO, including this years' Oxbow and Fort Smallwood records.

Also had a few good warblers including PROTHONOTARY and HOODED and a good number of waders. Additionally, a late RED-BREASTED MERGANSER provided excitement. However, the White Ibis did not appear as of the time I left.

If the WHIB is hanging out with Glossies, then its got a good chance of ending up here one of these days. Brandon Woods drainage pond is also worth a look.
